People

Sometimes I wonder do they not know

Or do they not care

Allergic to learning,

And obsessed with celeb hair

Sticks and stones

May break their bones

Yet your words they cannot condone

2 dogs, 1 an annoying barker,

You identify it as the one darker.

All you hear is “ooh racist,”

And, “ugh, I need a facelift”

Traveling through doors,

Struggle like the world wars.

“They both open! Did you know?”

“It’s like magic, come see my show”

And some will read this like,

“This offends me,”

But I’ll just laugh

Because you’re so salty

Teamwork

The groups assembled

The assignment distributed

My responsibility accepted

Searching for an answer

Without knowing the question,

Amused by their ignorant aura

I glance at the instructions

Mentally, my work already completed

Again I must misspell tieam

Pencils down along with my eyelids,

My Head desires the Crown it’s earned

Instead, my ears are tickled with things like “nerd”

The Silent Savior

He preferred critters to conversations

He would never squash a bug or catch a fish

He never was very social

But he couldn’t surround himself with just animals

Something very sobering conflicted this life

His parents lay deathly ill in their hospital beds

An opportunity arrived to once again conceal himself

A lone Eaglet the last hope for his species

He had a plan, he abandoned society once more

He nurtured the Eaglet for months

Finally it was mature and could preserve its species and itself

It was time for the Eagle to help him

He silently strode back into town headed for the hospital

Mumbled swears and kicked up dust followed close

The Eagle perched proudly on his shoulder

He walked into the hospital, and quickly found their room

His parents lay helpless and astounded to see their son

He glanced at the Eagle and pointed at them

The eagle leapt onto his mother

He spread his wing and pressed it on her face

Her eyes opened wide she was back to normal

Now onto the father the eagle proceded

He to was healed and jumped out of his bed

The Eagle proudly returned to his Caretaker’s shoulders

The boy and the Eagle looked at each other

The Eagle didn’t want to leave his pseudo Dad

But he had to

He opened the window and released the Eagle

Both of his Missions executed flawlessly

His parents healthy and a Species saved

The town from then on praised him

He went on to discover many remedies with Animals

But the time had come for him to move on

He said goodbye to everyone and asked to be alone one last time…

He walked into the forest Old and Accomplished

And layed down on a soft patch of grass

He closed his eyes, and never opened them again

But this was not the end

His body sank into the ground and sprouted the biggest tree in the Forest

The tree sheltered many animals and became a paradise for the Wildlife

But one spot was exclusive to others

The summit of the tree belonged only to a small family of Eagles
